Spring Training will commence on 16th March for all classes, running for 5
weeks. Lasers, Mirrors, Toppers and
Lasers will be catered for. As always we
have a limited number of boats available for rental.
We will have a registration night in the Sailing Club on
Wednesday 12th March @ 19:30 hrs.
As well as registering all sailors we need to ensure we have plenty of
parents volunteering to help out on training days to ensure all runs smoothly
and for the safety and welfare of our children.

On registration night we will also offer a free life jacket
check for anyone who wishes to get their life jackets checked out before the
start of the season. All sizes, adults
or children’s will be checked.

Starting times for training for Lasers, Toppers, Mirrors and
full day Oppies will be on Sunday morning, rigged and ready for 10:00 am and
for Optimist ½ day will be Sunday at 13:30 hrs.
We have a limited number of wetsuits available for loan for
the 5 weeks, cost is a deposit only of €40 which will be refunded at the end of
the 5 weeks on return of the wet suit.
There will be an induction day for those hiring the boats
for the 5 weeks on Saturday 15th March where all equipment will be
explained and boats allocated.
The first day of training will concentrate on rigging, proper
equipment, fitness and safety rules with a small time on the water with the
intention of having all children rigged and ready for morning sessions each
week at 10:00 hrs and for afternoon sessions rigged and ready for 13:30 hrs.
